Thank you for reading with us this summer! Summer is one of the most exciting times at the library. Not only do we see families enjoying the library during summer break, but we also have a variety of unique indoor and outdoor programs and a stream of young people coming in to collect their reading rewards. 

This year’s reading rewards included bracelet charms, toys, games, free books, and ice cream coupons. Meyer’s Ice Cream partnered with us to provide free ice cream cones to our readers. Our New Carlisle Olive-Township Friends of the Library donated funds specifically for Summer Reading prizes and rewards. This year’s prizes and randomly selected winners are listed below:

We are always thrilled to see how much you all read during the summer! We hope it cheers your heart to see the number of readers in our community and the amount of reading they did this summer. It certainly cheers ours. We also had so much fun handing out reading rewards and hosting the kickoff carnival with games and snow cones. We were amazed at the magic show, laughed at the puppet show, pet animals and learned about their unique traits at animal shows, and played in the bubbles at the foam party on the lawn. We hope you made some amazing memories this summer at the library too.
