Libraries need Friends – it’s just that simple. In fact, across America, many public libraries were established through the efforts of community members who understood the value of libraries to their communities and also understood that libraries needed community support to survive. Our Friends of the Library group continues to grow and be an integral part of our library. They host two book sales a year, which helps fund all the wonderful programs you attend. This year, they will also be sponsoring our seed library as well as new additions to the Exploration Garden. Friends of the Library is more than just raising money. They volunteer at our family programs and summer camps, promote the library in the community, and fill the Little Free Libraries with free books. If this sounds like a group you would like to be a part of, consider joining. For more information, visit https://ncpl.lib.in.us/friends-of-the-library/.
