My dad taught me how to mow the lawn.  This was NOT my favorite chore. He would have me mow around the edges first and then mow in the right direction so the lawn would be nice.  I would then write down the time I spent mowing in this little notebook.  He would pay me for my time (which I am guessing was $1.00 an hour).   I learned the value of hard work and the satisfaction of a job well done (or mowed).  Celebrate your dad this weekend by remembering something he taught you.  Take time to write those memories down so they can be shared with your children.   Happy Father’s Day to my dad and to all the dads who shaped us into who we are today!
