Our small town is changing. New businesses are popping up in our backyard, whether we’re ready for them or not. We’re all anxiously awaiting what additions are on the horizon for our downtown business area. As these changes are happening, we can find comfort in the areas of continuity in our quaint hometown – the beautiful older homes built in a variety of architectural styles that grace our quiet neighborhood streets, the vintage storefronts with a wealth of history and charm, and the lush green parks where we gather and play. I believe that, as a town, we desire to preserve and celebrate the heritage of New Carlisle, as is the mission of Historic New Carlisle, which works hard to safeguard the historical integrity of our community.
So, Let’s Tour the Town together on Sunday, September 29th at 2:00 p.m. EST, as Dana Groves, Director of Historic New Carlisle, leads us on a walking tour. We will meet at the library and explore our beautiful town’s local architecture and history. Come with us to celebrate, explore, and learn new and interesting facts about this great place that we call home.
