As the sun stretches longer into the evening and warm breezes stir the scent of wildflowers, there’s no better time to slow down and reconnect with nature. This summer, join us for our Summer Evening Garden Stroll Series on the library lawn — a guided walk that celebrates the rich beauty and biodiversity of our local landscape.
Each stroll is a chance to wander through blooming meadows, flowering paths, and vibrant pollinator patches, all while learning about the native plants that call this place home. From native grasses to fragrant bergamot, the garden showcases how native species can thrive and support local ecosystems.
Led by Steve Sass, the walks offer insights into sustainable gardening, habitat restoration, and the surprising stories behind familiar plants. Whether you’re a seasoned native plant enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful way to spend a summer evening, this series is for you. Stroll with us three different evenings this summer as you watch the plants grow and mature through the summer season.
Bring your curiosity, comfortable shoes, and a water bottle — and let nature do the rest.
🌿 Walks are held on Thursday evenings, June 5, July 17, and August 21 at 6:00 pm EST. Meet outside by the front library steps. Ages 16+.
