The Library is the place where amazing connections happen. The Library can connect you to the next book you want to read, to the internet, a fax machine, and even a person in your community who shares your interests. This summer, the Library is hosting two events that will connect technology with art and connect you to some exciting ways you can be creative with technology.

On Tuesday, June 24, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. experts in film animation, virtual reality game development, 3D printing, arcade games, robotics, and more will set up stations at the Library. As you visit each station, you will have a chance to interact with not only the experts themselves but also the technology they have mastered. Step into virtual reality, tinker with a 3D design, and check out the inner workings of a pinball machine. From robots that can draw to robots that can race, you will have a chance to look behind the curtain at the coding that makes them go and play around with the robots. You won’t want to miss these Imagination Stations!

Starting the evening of Tuesday, June 24, we will also have a 3-day Code & Create Camp for grades 3-8 facilitated by the New Prairie High School Robotics Team. Each day of the camp, we will get creative with coding and robotics. This camp will bring together hands-on creative expression with basic coding concepts, electrical circuits, and robotics.
