Twice a month, the library fills up with families for the Homeschool Hangout. This is a program for homeschooled children. It meets during the school year, and we have so much fun together! Not only are the kids happy to see one another, but so are the grownups! Grownups are always welcome to attend the program with their children. But watching the friendships developed during the time grownups spend visiting while their children are in the program is beautiful!
Each time we meet, the theme is different. This year, one of our most popular activities has been attempting to break world records. We have also learned about marshes, pretended to go camping, painted, investigated pine trees, created I Spy jars, had Lego challenges, and learned about snow. Our next Homeschool Hangout will be Monday, March 18th, at 1:30. We will be making 3D paper cities. Join us!
