We are almost two weeks into the beginning of another year.  As we contemplate how we want to shape the next 365 days, we think about the changes we want to make to achieve more personal growth.  Maybe we want to eat better to be healthier or to lose weight.  Perhaps adding a regular exercise routine to our lives is on our list.  Going to bed earlier, reading more, less screen time, getting rid of unnecessary clutter, learning a new skill – the list goes on and on.  We all have these lists running through our minds.  If we are able to accomplish even one or two items on the list, then we’ve done well.

Here at the library, we try really hard to provide programming to enrich the lives of the people who walk through our doors and to help them achieve some of their new year goals.  This January, in addition to our Monday morning Chair Yoga classes, we are adding a new Wednesday night exercise program – Cardio Karate – which is a moderate exercise class using martial arts movements including isometric and strength resisting techniques focusing on balance, flexibility, and muscle strength.  Another new program we are starting is a new daytime book club – No Clue Mystery Book Club – and will be discussing the Thursday Murder Club.  Perhaps, you might be interested in learning a new skill – Needle Wool Felting.  We have a program for that too.

So utilize all the great things we have here at the Library, not only wonderful reading materials but also the awesome programs we offer and fulfill some of your new year goals at the same time.
