This Saturday, February 7, slide into the world of dog mushing! Musher Karen Land is bringing her sled dog to show what it takes to become a musher, explore the rich and heroic history of mushing, and answer your questions. Her presentation will stretch out the Alaskan mountains before your eyes and give you a taste of what it means to manage a team of dogs. Land has participated in many dog sled races, including multiple times in the 1000-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. She is bringing her actual Iditarod dog sled, gear, arctic clothing, and of course, the dog.
