In 2025, the New Carlisle–Olive Township Public Library welcomed 57,000 visits, circulated over 71,000 items, provided 183,000 Wi-Fi sessions, and served more than 5,000 cardholders. Every number represents a person — a child discovering books, a teen building skills, or an adult connecting with resources.
The library is primarily funded through local property taxes. These funds support:
- Staff who plan programs and assist patrons
- Books, digital resources, and technology
- Free community programs for all ages
- Building operations and maintenance
- Wi-Fi and public computer access
Library funding ensures:
- Children can participate in storytime, summer reading, and afterschool programs
- Teens have safe spaces like Hub 6•12 and a teen area
- Seniors can attend weekly yoga and wellness programs
- Families have free access to the internet, books, and educational take-home kits
When funding is stable, we can plan ahead, maintain quality services, and continue offering innovative programming like coding & robotics, art classes, and partnerships with Olive Township Elementary, Historic New Carlisle, New Carlisle Business and Community Association, Discover New Carlisle and more.
Your support — whether through using the library, attending programs, being a member of the Friends of the Library, or advocating for library services — helps ensure we can continue serving our community now and in the future.
