Mission
To support the New Carlisle-Olive Township Public Library by volunteering our time and efforts to raise community awareness of the Library and its resources and by raising funds for programs and materials.
Who we are:
We are community volunteers who support the Library and its programs through funds raised from our semi-annual and ongoing book sales. We have also hosted other fundraising events, such as a spring daffodil sale.
Some of the things we have funded:
- New toys for the children’s area
- Summer reading books and prizes
- Talking Tubes for the Exploration Garden
- Native Plant Seed Library
Ways we have volunteered:
- Maintaining Little Free Libraries throughout town
- Helped with Homemade Holiday weekend
- Helped with large family programs and provided giveaways
Level of participation:
- Active: Attend monthly meetings and events as much as possible
- Auxiliary: Help at events as able
- Benefactor: Unable to participate at the above levels but want to support the work of the Friends
Membership Fees:
- Individual – $10/year
- Senior (55+) – $5/year
- Student (16+) – $5/year
- Lifetime member – $100
