Don’t ever say you’re bored in New Carlisle! We have a wealth of interesting and fun places to visit in our town and surrounding areas. First, we have the Historic New Carlisle in downtown New Carlisle. Here you can see pictures and displays of the history of our town. You can even buy a mug that says “Town Time, School Time.” Not too far down the road, you can visit Spicer Lake Nature Preserve. Here you can walk 320 acres of trails along wetlands, woods, and old-growth fields. You might even spot a bird or frog along the way. Go a little further, 30 minutes from New Carlisle, and you will be at Warren Dunes. This park is 3 miles of shoreline and 6 miles of hiking with great views on top of the dunes. Going back into New Carlisle, you can get cooled off in the splash pad located in Memorial Park. Then get your frisbees out and play a game of frisbee golf at Bourissa Hills. And last but not least, we have Bendix Woods County Park. At Bendix Woods, you can walk the trails, ride your bike or play on the playground. We are so lucky to have so many great things right in our backyard!
