If you or your child are interested in robotics and programming, the Dobot Magician Robotic Arm is a great tool for hands-on learning. The robotic arm has 5 interchangeable end effectors for writing and drawing, pick-and-place movements, 3D printing, and laser engraving. The laser engraving tool can etch paperboard, leather, or wood.
Since the Dobot can perform the same motions multiple times with only a 0.2 millimeter variance in position, it is comparable to the robotic arms used in manufacturing and warehousing. Plus, you can control the Dobot using handhold teaching, a mouse, a remote control, or multiple programming languages, such as Python, Arduino, and C++. It may seem complex, but the Dobot software and detailed tutorial videos make it easy to get started.
Sign in to Beanstack to complete the training for the Dobot and access the links to the tutorials about each of these functions, but of course, if you need further assistance with any Creative Space equipment, feel free to book an appointment for one-on-one guidance with our Tech Help staff here.
